* Thanks for viewing - sold to new owner from Edmonton for full asking price *

Hi all,

I think the time has come for me to downsize, and the wife has been bugging me to sell the Rover. I retired a couple of years ago, so the D2 hasn't been used much - it often sits in the garage for weeks at a time. I don't have great interior pics yet, but it is in great condition. As you can see from the exterior pics, I have been taking very good care of my D2, and unlike my D1, this one has never really seen off-road (i.e. low-range, centre-lock action). Speaking of, as you all probably know, this is the last/only year they had the electronic traction control/hill descent AND centre-locking differential.

It essentially a stock vehicle, with two minor modifications: 1) a grease-able U-joint, and 2) an MP3/iPod/iPhone stereo head unit w/ bluetooth calling (it doesn't play audio via bluetooth however). I am the second owner, after an MCL lease-return in 2008; I've had it for 10 years and have all the service records since. It's been pretty good to me, and mechanically has not been nearly as troublesome as my D1 was. i.e. no significant drips or leaks, and aside from the passenger-side front windscreen de-icer, everything works fine. My wife had a minor side ding one winter, and the body shop replaced the front passenger door; other than that, there have been no accidents or claims on this vehicle.

I won't bore you with all of the $$$ I have spent to make sure this has been a reliable, daily driver for me, but I recently had the windscreen replaced, new battery, and it has new brakes (rotors and pads) all around. *Yes, head gaskets have been done recently.* It has the 18" hurricane rims, and I put on Nitto Terra Grapplers, which have tons of tread left. Didn't get a chance to test 'em off-road, but they did well on muddy logging roads and in snow. It comes with carpeted floor mats, as well as the OEM rubber, all-weather mats. Original headunit will be provided, in case you have some cassettes that you need to play, or want to activate the 6-CD changer which is still under the passenger seat. I also have a molded-plastic cargo liner in the back. I have optionally available high-foot Thule roof racks, ski attachments, and a roof box.

I'll post some interior pics when it stops raining for a bit (it stays in the garage, as shown). Make it into your killer off-road beast, or just drive it as is. Vehicle is located in Vancouver.
