Anyone have a Salisbury Diff Spreader ?
I'm changing diff ratios in my 101 and fitting a Detroit locker. Has anyone made a diff spreader for the Salisbury (Dana 60) axle?

I don't, but thinking about the doing the same. If you have a doodle I have an enerpac pump and could make something up. Also, do you have a good priced source on the detroit? I'd rather get a true trac, but keeping eye out for good value.

I've had a look at a few and realize the enerpac is of no use. big threaded rod and nuts is the way to go.
Well if you want to supply the materials I'm happy to weld it up.

I have one, the only question is where. ( It's in a bin at my brother's house in his garage somewhere) how soon do you need it?

Thanks All especially Tony K who offered to lend a spreader he has but by then I had made one myself.
It is quite a complicated operation as going from a 5.5 to a 4.1 you have to change the entire carrier. I purchased all the parts from Great Basin Rivers and they were very thorough in supplying everything needed including extra shims.
Jake I have not tackled the Detroit Locker yet as so far only working on the front axle. According to Bill at GBR the Detroit is the make available for the 101 side shafts. Possibly there are other alternatives for a 110. I'm told that ARB used to make an air locker but no longer does.
This truck has only 50K so the internals were in pristine condition apart from condensation rust.

Hi Ray,
Sorry, a little off-topic but ! was curious. How does a big tall guy like you fit into a 101 that is designed for 5ft tall squaddies?
Is there a seat mod to give more leg room? Last time I sat in one my knees were jammed so hard into the steering wheel, I don't think it was drivable like that?
Cheers,
Andy

Pretty simple really!
One just rolls back the canvas roof and looks over the top of the windscreen :) :)
