Hi Guys
This is a real rivet counter question.
I am finally getting around to installing a new cushioning strip (correctly this time) on top of the radiator support panel. This strip is held on with 10 pretty fancy split brass rivets. I believe the round part of the rivet goes down and the split part goes up and the 2 tangs are bent over to hold the cushioning strip on from the top side. Can any body confirm this?
Thanks Victor 1962 Dormobile

I believe mine were opposite. The round head on top.

Hello
I posted this also on the series 2 club and received the answer that the tangs are on top. So I guess I will go with that. Those guys seem to know their old series rovers pretty well.
Thanks Victor

Don't cut the the strip too short - it is supposed to be pinched at the ends between the wing and the front panel. Extra points in the concours if done correctly.

Hi John
Thanks Matt Mepham also told me this and that's the way I will do it and rivet tails up.
