Any interest in a mobile Mechanic?

#1 Post by Logos24492 » Mon Aug 01, 2016 10:34 pm

So I have been having some issues with my defender and have been talking with my buddy who is a veteran mechanic/ heavy duty mechanic/ millwright/welder fabricator. He's been around the block and can do anything even custom work. Mostly did industrial stuff in the oil patch. Anyways he's living on the coast now and his rates are quite reasonable $60/hr if anyone is interested let me know and I can set you up with him

how is he with electrical? I have been looking for someone to rewire my accessories to proper switches/harness and generally clean up my wiring.

Arcades I'll ask him but I think electrical is a full time trade in itself I never trust it to mechanics they hate doing it and it shows... I always do my own it takes me ages but it gets done

Auto/heavy duty electrical is not a trade by it's self and as with any profession there are certain areas where an individual will shine. I know many mechanics who are very good at electrical and enjoy it. I am a millwright and have worked on heavy equipment all my life. I happen to be good at wiring and enjoy it. I also like working/restoring older vehicles and this includes all facets of the project. Be careful making blanket statements.
