Weird Warm Idle and EP80 Questions

This is on my 91 RRC
Question 1 - Rough idle at stop light. Driving fine through town, RRC is warmed up, come to a stop sign/light and runs fine right up until I am completely stopped. Once I'm stopped it seems to surge from 800ish RPM to 0 RPM (almost/sometimes stalls) up and down 8 or 10 times, then if it hasn't stalled it levels out again and idles normally. I have cleaned the IAC already. I have RoverGauge connected and noticed the Idle Bypass position does get down to 0% which I thought it shouldn't get that low.
Is this a common symptom of anything in particular or should I just start troubleshooting the usual?
Question 2 - Swivel balls are leaking a bit. Plan on changing the seals but in the meantime, can I top up with EP90 even though I believe the previous owner did use the one shot grease. Can they be mixed? Had a look at my local parts store and didn't see any with the specific rating. Can anyone recommend a brand to ask for? Is EP80 the only weight I should use?
Thanks! Loving the RRC!
