Best place for Series LR parts on Van Isle?
Being new to the Series experience I'm not sure where to get wear-parts. Lordco stocks a number of tune-up parts (plug wires, cap, rotor, points, oil filter, etc), but not valve cover gasket or brake light switch (mine looks like brass, is threaded, and has two spades coming out of it).
So for a start, where can I get a brake switch and valve-cover gasket?
Thanks,
David

Your closest series parts vendor will be Jeremy in vancouver.
You can reach him at Rocky Mountains Parts
1 (888) 880-2600
For the brake switch, it is a common british car part best place in Victoria I've found is Hunter Classic Auto. http://www.hunterclassicsportscars.ca
Look forward to seeing your truck around town.

Excellent, thanks.
Interestingly, Owen automotive in Sidney, who specialize in British cars, won't even order Land Rover parts because they "...only do sports cars." I can't fathom why they wouldn't order parts common to them all.

So went into Lordco today to get a lead wire set and they don't have one for my 68 series2a.
All they had was the spark plugs.
Any help would be appreciated.

Valve cover gasket comes in a can. Buy the aerosol can of gasket maker put an even bead on the head or cover and let it set up part way before putting them together. only tighten the nuts until the cover won't fall off and then only another turn or so after the gasket has set.
Buy a generic wire set and cut to your own lengths, crimp your ends on where you want them. You used to be able to go to the parts stores and pick your own wires off a rack of varying lengths and ends but because cars don't have plug wires now, they don't sell so many and may not have bulk wires like that.
