Tire advice

im just wondering if anyone has any experience with the tires listed below. id love some advice on which to go with as i need a new set of tires for the rover. these are the ones that i can find in sizes that should be able to fit. i wish i could get some mud terrains but unfortunately i cant find a size that works. im currently on nitto terra grapplers with an overall diameter of 31.26" and if i go with a 31.89" tire then it opens up some new doors. i should be able to push that extra 0.6".

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar

Are your rims 20 inch?

I would recomend the BFG AT's, I think they work well with the west coast climate.
I have them on our D2 and have been very pleased with them ... not cheap though!

im on 20" rims, ill check out that thread.

i think im narrowing it down to either the goodyear wrangler duratrac or the BFG ta KO2.

are you using the BFG TA KO?

Yes the KO's.... but on the 18" rims (165-65-18)

Better check out the reputation of the Toyo tire. After I finally got some (Open Country MT's) I had my eyes opened to how good they are.

I know that the BFG AT's are considered one of the standards out there and they work well, but I found they were sub standard on the wet snow that we get so often. I found GeoLanders and Kuhmo's were better in the snow but not nearly as durable.

I can't give first hand experience but I've heard good things about the Duratrac.

I have the KO2 on mine and I'm very happy. I did a lot of research and they 'should' be better than the Wrangler Duratrac. Can't go wrong with either.

I have 255/55R18 Toyo Open Country AT2-Plus on my Disco. My previous set were the Wranglers. I strongly recommend the Toyos. Quiet road manners, but still very adaptable for off-roading.

we also run the same spec of Toyo tyre on our 2004 Discovery 2 [ as noted by Andrew in the previous post ] . extremely happy with their overall road manners for all our northern weather conditions ; besides they have been ' 2015 Canada Winter Games tested ' here in Prince George . :D

We sell all those brands and to be honest if you want a true snowflake tire that works well go the duratracks ...the toyos are by far the roundest and easiest to balance but by far the heaviest tire outta the bunch I am not a huge bfg fan had way to many problems with the last gen of at tires the new ko2 seams better but they are to new to give any real feedback on them we sell a ton of all the brands you mentioned but like I said if it was mine I would go with the duratracks ...one other tire to look at is the general grabber at 2 I have those on one of my personal trucks and I love em for a All terrain tire
