Club run and Social Gathering -Saturday April 26th 2014

Due to Easter long weekend falling in the 3rd week of April we will bump back the April Club Social Gathering and April Club run to the 4th week.

April Social Gathering - - If the forecast is looking favourable we may move this outside to our little play area at Triangle Road in Richmond with Hot dogs and refreshments of course ...

April Club Run -- One day run, details and location will be posted soon, mark the day on your calendar ....

Any update on our April adventures? I just noticed that the 27th is the same day as the Langley Area British Car Show. Any conflicts?

It would actually be fun if we did an early morning off-road jaunt in Richmond and then caravan over in our muddy vehicles to the Langley Car Show in the afternoon before they close at 4 pm. The folks need to know not all British cars are nicely polished beauty queens.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone on the first off-road outing, whatever the final date may be.

Hi All,

As usual at this time of year the weather causes a few changes in the Plans;
We have blended the April social gathering and April club run into one event.

Our social gathering / event for April will be on Saturday 26th April, we plan to set up a couple of BBQs and have a fun off-road play day. Come on out to talk Land Rovers, have a few hot dogs, get muddy, meet fellow Rover-Landers and have some fun! For those of you with newer Land Rovers it's a good opportunity to try out all of those off-road knobs and dials.

What - Off-road & BBQ - Fun day / Social gathering
When - 11am to 4pm Saturday 26th April
Where - Triangle Road, Richmond (drive to the very south end of #6 road, turn onto Triangle road and follow it East along the river, all the way to the very end). If you are coming from the Massey Tunnel, turn east on Steveston highway, left on No6 road and right onto Triangle road.
Co-ords - N49 08.824 W123 02.750
-Just a fun casual play day, if you want to pick up some new tips, practise using that new winch, or just watch everyone get stuck! Free hot dogs, chips, donuts & soft drinks for Rover-Lander members and family.
Bring boots, it will get muddy! Bring an umbrella, it will be going ahead rain or shine. Bring tug straps, Bring your Cameras.
If you want me to bring any 30th badges or merchandise along, just let me know what you want? Hope to see you all there ...

I'll be in the 'it doesn't get dirty' Range Rover, so hopefully I can bum a few rides around the course. For the rest of the time, I can amuse myself by BBQing and taking photos.

I like the Richmond course. Considering fun vs distance-from-home, it's a good outing. :alien:

It was great to visit with everyone on my first BC Rovers outing. I was the last Disco in the caravan during our second run. Here is a 20 min video of the run. The footage starts from the time when Juan's distributor went for a swim :)

Thanks to everyone for your hospitality, especially the organizers who set up the tent, brought the hot dogs and refreshments.

Hi All,

Great fun, nice turn out. We had 20 Land rovers and 5 "other" vehicles in attendance. The weather was good to us and the food all disappeared! At the end of the day, everyone got muddy and probably were a little wiser about their vehicles capabilities.
Thanks for sharing the photos and the video. I have a bunch of photos which I will post into the website gallery in the next day or two. If you have some that you would like to share, please send them into Bill (his email is on the "contact" page) ....
