Those of us who set up camp and took a run up to the peak were confronted with a big cat at about 20 feet.
Dave Blair was the first to spot it and sounded the alarm and sent us all into holy crap mode and when the dogs were safe we came back out for a peek and I was the next to spot it slowly strolling away at about 40 feet and what grabbed my attenion was the short little bobtail (like a rabbits) and soon after spotted by Paul cooper at abou 60 feet as it dissopeared behind some trees .
Upon return to civilization I research what I saw and came up with my opinion that it was indeed a lynx going on the colour and the tail, pretty exiting none the less.
We also spotted 2 bears through out the week end.

The bears are out in force in Whistler right now. While working in the Bike Park I've seen atleast one every day. It's been great this season because there are two mom's with cubs on the lower hill, one with yearlings and one with new borns. It's the first time I've ever seen little fuzzy black footballs with eyes before. :D
