Rover outing Jan 14 update
Hi everyone
It looks like Saturday is the most popular choice for island rovering so the plan is to go out on the 14th. There has been some discussion about heading up Copper Canyon so it is probably best to meet at the Hiada Way Restaurant (corner of Henry Road and Trans Canada Highway Lat 48.906818 N Long 123.726826 W). Breakfast crowd should be there by 0830, coffee and map crowd by 9 with departure shortly after(once we know where we are going  )
Bring the usual. lunch, radios, tug straps (just in case) maps, GPS...
RSVP here or on the Island Forum
Cheers, Rob

January drive
Hi Again Rob
I just realized I started a new posting this morning dealing with this drive. I really wanted to reply to this thread. Sorry.
Saturday would also work better for us .
Also, there are usually extra seats available just in case your Rover has a flat tire, bad battery, out of gas etc. Just let us know if you are coming along
Thanks Victor

Saturday morning is a "go"
Looks like we are good to go Saturday, Meet at the Hiada Way restaurant (Corner of Trans-Canada and Henry Road. Planning for a 9AM departure time so those interested in breakfast should get there early. Weather report says rain and possibly snow at higher elevations (should make for some great pictures!).
Cheers, Rob

What a great trip! Nothing too demanding but very picturesque. New snow, snow squalls coming towards us up the valley, great sunshine, new territory that demands another visit in the spring. Nobody broke anything. We got a new off-roader out for a trip, 18 year old Tony and his mid 1960's Series 2A that he recently got on the road. And we got home early enough to get some things done there.
Founders Day is next. Anyone else from the Island going over?
