Winter Overland Journal

#2 Post by ANDYD » Tue Nov 30, 2010 11:03 am

Hi Dave,

Was just about to order a copy when I saw the shipping cost is $11.10

I'm sure this magazine in a flat envelope wouldn't be more than a couple of bucks to ship US postal service to Vancouver?

What's up with that!

Just put an order in for the last 2 issues + the Gear Guide.

Shipped to my US address in Ferndale - $6.82.

They get you every time you ship across the border!

I just subscribed for a year and there was no shipping charge to Canada or the US according to the invoice.

Yup, I've been a subscriber since the second issue and as with most subscriptions it's the best way to avoid additional shipping costs.

You can also order Overland Journal on Amazon now. There are both new and used issues available.

But the previous posters are right, the best deal is still an annual subscription. 1 yr subscription costs $9 each, and that includes shipping to Canada.

Cheers

Ray

Well, I have to say, our fearless VP does a pretty good impression of a professional journalist, nice work Pete.

Dave F., you've got to be happy with that product placement on the front cover 8)

Thanks Bill, I'm looking forward to getting back home and checking it out. I'm curious to see which pictures they used.

Nope, I am going to try to bring some OJ stuff to founders day, and hopefully we will have a show special for people who subscribe at the show.

You might find it interesting that Cory Paulger is pictured on page 6 helping to tug a winchline in the Equipt ad. This picture was taken on the Mackenzie Trail in 2009. The mudhole gets deeper every time we go though.
