parabolic springs already on my Iltis

so its amazing when your looking at a picture and not knowing what your looking at.

I have been trying to find replacement springs for my VW Iltis for some time thinking i had some special spring.
finally after a posting on the classifieds here with pictures of landrover springs i realised what parabolic springs actually are. i had no interest before to find out as i had no need.

after comparing pictures to my Iltis springs it looks like the original design of the Iltis transverse leaf spring is a parabolic. originally put on the trucks in 1978.
