Colorado trip.
I've been looking at maps and Google too. I pretty well have a route picked to get me to Leadville in July driving a Land Rover that will be topping out at 105 kph on the freeways. I'm willing to shorten my route and stay off the longer but faster freeways (if you ride will go that fast). Anyone have some personal knowledge about how to get there? I was thinking about staying north of Salt Lake and going from Idaho into Wyoming, then south to Ft. Bridger. Is that wise as there are mountainous sections, or am I better to stay north of the mountains and then head south to Denver?
