#1 Post by Glenn D. » Wed Aug 13, 2008 11:24 am

Does anyone have a 200 tdi pump timing kit around town? I want to change my water pump and might as well do the timing belt as well.

Its a disco 200 tdi.

Dave? what did you use?

THANKS...

I have one, but I'm in the wrong location.

Most people just use drill bits.

I thought I was the only one that used drill bits. Gotta find one that fits quite snugly in the hole.

A few other things that also assist when reassembling...

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TDC BEFORE YOU TAKE THE BELT OFF. FIND THE MARKS, CLEAN THEM, HIGHLIGHT THEM

A digital camera, taking several close up shots of exactly where the fuel pump bolts are tightened

A hammer and chisel to add your own additional marks to the timing cover just so you know exactly how it goes back together.

cheers, Dave
