Hi everyone!!
Just wanted to say a few words about my conversion. My 96 Disco Is now running a 2004 4.6  that I had rebuilt. The only problem you will run into Is the timing cover on the 4.6 Is deeper pushing all your pullys forward and not leaving the right amout of room between the rad.You will need to use your old, or by a new 4.0 litre timing cover and your old oil pan.I have just got back from my annual tour De BC with my wife her friend the two dogs and Alot of wine the truck averaged about 410 to 470 KM a tank of fuel, I managed to never spend more than a $1.50 per litre. If you are looking for more power, this Is the way to go. YOU WONT BE DISAPIONTED.I would also like to thank Alister at HESP for doing the work, this man has helped me out time and time again.CheersAndrew

Well I have just over 2000 k on the engine now and I think she Is broken In.
The bottom end on these engines Is amazing I look forward to installing the headers when they arrive, I'm currently running a custom exhaust that I will have to scrap when the headers go on. As I have seen the guys in California running the dual set up.....oh well!!!!
Im hoping I will have all the bugs worked out for the last trip to Whipsaw.

Cheers

I've read some where that you can shorten the intake pipes (sorry I don't know their technical name) in the plenum chamber by 1/2 " and see a dramatic increase in horse power can anyone confirm that ?

May be, the intake plenum pipes inside the black housing, this may give better bottom end but the 4.6 doesn't have a problem with bottom end power as my rear locker locks up now on pavement and my front drivers wheel spins when I give it.....
