'67 IIA Clutch question..

My 109 sat all winter and it seems that I'm unable to shift gears. The clutch operated "fine", or should I say "normal", before I parked it for the season. There's seems to be normal pressure on the pedal, but I have to turn off the engine to put it into gear. Any suggestions?

Bleed your clutch then check the action of your hydraulics and the condition of the linkage pins (they shear) and collar (it fractures) at the bell housing. If these parts seem OK your clutch plate may have seized to your clutch disk.

If you can, get it running in low range then stab the brakes while depressing the clutch pedal and it may break free...I once resorted to a big chain and a telephone pole...Not recommended!

It is possible that you will damage the clutch disk breaking it free but your choices are limited.

I'll give it a try this weekend. I suspected that the flywheel may have seized over the winter.

I was successful in freeing up the clutch, further delaying the joy of seeing the inside of the gearbox, at least for a while! :D
