One of our members installed SafariGard kit in his truck recently and took photos. The procedure should be very similar...

On the first point. It is straight forward. Brake lines are not needed. The hardest part is usually the front shocks as they are usually rusted in. An Oxy torch is handy.

On the wheels, yes, Land Rover has its own bolt pattern. 5 on 6.5" with M16 studs. There are Rover parts vendors in the States and the UK that carry steel wheels. You won't find any local suppliers.

On my 98 Discovery, I have been running OME Heavy Duty Discovery1 springs & shocks up front and OME Medium Duty Discovery 2 springs & Discovery 1 OME HD shocks on the rear axle.

My lift was a little less than 2â€

The swap is straight forward just have time for the pentrating oil to work!!
Heat was required for my front shock shock towers {spitfire propane worked for me}. Take your time work safe!! I took about 12 hrs over two days but that was taking pictures as the work progressed & lots of advice from the neighbours  .
