I have a good selection of nearly new brake shoes for my 109 and heard you could clean then up if they were not too fouled. I have been using brake cleaner and wiping them down and it seems to work not too bad. How about soaking them in varsol??
Any ideas.. and can you get new shoes from any local parts store easily?

what kind of contamination are you talking about? varsol and all other petrolium products are a big no no on brake shoes!!!!! considering how "good" series brakes are, if they are oil soaked i would replace comtaminated shose as soon as poss! And fix the oil leak befor you replace the shoes again!

A little bit of grease but not heavily contaminated.
