Hi Sean,

I spotted a yellow Discovery II Special Vehicle in Red Deer last week, too! Totally expedition ready, looked like an XD, but no stickers...

My guess, judging by the colour you described , the Discovery was a “Kalahariâ€

That looks like the one, except this one was lifted, had ARB front and rear bumpers, winch, etc, etc...
