LRC001 Bronze Green Spray Can??
Has anyone out there found a decent match for LRC001 Bronze Green paint in a spray can? Doesnt have to be 100% exact but as close as possible. Not looking to have a custom match at 30 per can....

Here is what we came up with from Cloverdale paints in industrial enamel, they will make you spray cans as well. But you are looking at over $200

For my British Racing Green P38 I had my local parts store mix up a rattle can for me from my paint code. It turned out about as perfect as it could be. It was around $30.

Hey Guys,
LORDCO, they have done a few for my various Land Rover. The last being Bronze Green for Lucille.

Did they custom mix you some paint or did you give them code?StuartL wrote: Sat May 25, 2024 9:57 am Hey Guys,

I was lucky and went to the West 2nd store before it closed. I was surprised when they just looked up the code. I had the Land Rover with me and he used his special camera to check it and it was spot on.
So I got them to mix up a rattle can and it worked very well.

Re: LRC001 Bronze Green Spray Can??
Sorry I didn’t see this post sooner, but maybe it will help someone else along the way.
I repainted the hood on my Td5 with spray cans from Scratches Happen . They are a Canadian company based in Quebec and list most of the Land Rover colours. I had to select a Range Rover because Defender doesn’t show up for MY2005.
It took three cans to do the hood of the Defender. I got the primer and clear coat from them as well, but then used a USC SprayMax 2K Glamour High Gloss Aerosol Clear which I got off Amazon because I wasn’t happy with the 1K waterbased clear coat from Scratches Happen.
But as far as the Tonga Green metalic paint goes, the match is really good, not perfect, but really good. Since the fenders have checker plate, the paint on the hood and the rest of the truck aren’t side by side, like if you did one door or something, but I am completely satisfied with the result. But the quote for the respray from a body shop was $2500, so at a tenth of the price this is a good option.
I’m afraid I didn’t get good before and after pictures, but here are a couple that show what it used to look like to what its like now. Definitely worth a try.

Scratches Happen say they have 401 Land Rover colours, but you can only look up the ones that were available in North America since 2000. If the colour you want is older than 2000 you’ll need to call them. I did a quick check and couldn’t find how to enter just the paint code.
