FLYWHEEL

#1 Post by StuartC » Sat Aug 26, 2023 8:11 am

Searching for a flywheel
Details:
1959 S2 2.25L petrol
97 ring gear teeth (can change this out if teeth damaged)
thickness at pressure face 1.515" (if lightly scored can machine to 1.485")
markings on flywheel edge.....T.D.C., E.P., 3°, and 6°

Thanks in advance.

Would prefer to find a good flywheel close to Vancouver Island.....otherwise have to order one from UK.....that will be similar to the cost of shipping an elephant from S.A......

Hi Stuart

I've sent you a Email I might know someone down in Duncan who has one or two.

If not I am sure Matt will have one, I am heading up to the light house fall Fair with the English car club next Saturday Sept 2nd and could bring it that far anyway.

Talk soon Victor

Hi Stuart

I am guessing you have found a fly wheel so I dont have to worry about relaying one up to you this coming Saturday?

Hi Victor
Thanks for checking in.
Nothing yet.....
Matt in Victoria may have one but I have to get there to check out the dimensions.
These few years of Series 2 production can be a bit challenging in the parts dept.

Hi Stuart

No problem, yes there were definitely less series 2s than the more common series 2as and 3s. Good luck.
