Has anyone on the Island used Anderson Precision Engines up in Saanichton for engine machine work?
Looking at getting them to do some work on my 2.25L petrol:
Hot tank the block, head and main engine components,
Magnaflux the block and cylinder head, resurface the block and cylinder head, pressure test, polish the crankshaft, work the valves and grind the flywheel. Hopefully that’s it.
I read that the Old English Car Club toured the shop back in 2019 and had good things to say.
I must say I got a good vib from a phone call this afternoon; very patient and willing to discuss.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tal

I've heard good things about Thompson machine in Nanaimo but haven't used them personally (yet)

Mid Island are very good at what they do, they can be a bit expensive sometimes. I know Chuck, the owner well. If its not something mainstream or domestic, it normally takes longer and will be a higher price. I have never had an issue with what they do and I have sent many cranks, heads and blocks to them for machining. They do say that you get what you pay for. I have also used Alpine in Langford, who seem very competent, but too far away for me to use extensively.
