As it sits in the parkade i have Modified the air intake and yes with a K&N and cut out the air box.pro comp shocks are going on this weekend. i had them on my explorer and loved them. I have chopped up the exhaust, i have my stock new tires up for sale on this site. i have new tires in mind have a few friends in the industry------tires tuff choice?

Hi Andrew,
Your enthusiasm for you Discovery is cool, sounds like we are going to see you on a few trips this year…that would be great :D . I know you have already made the changes to your air box for better performance; but do you think you have made your engine more venerable to water ingress?
What kind of tires did you go with, more than a few good choices these days?
Too bad about the clearance/lift issues…Expedition Exchange (as already mentioned) really has some great info on Land Rover lifts. In fact I went with one of their recommendations. I have OME HD Discovery1 Springs & Shocks up front & OME MD Discovery 2 springs (Discovery1 shocks) in the rear. I also remove the rear sway bar during “off-road seasonâ€

4 Wheelin
Most of my 4 wheelin will be done up areound the sunshine coast as we have a house up there and the trails are In good shape, until you go off the trail.LOL! I have not encountered alot of water and dont plan on dropping the disco into a 4 foot deep mud hole, well not on purpose. THE WIFE WOULD KILL ME!
As i am a building mger i have acccess to alot of filtration equipment so i can easly install a secondary filtration system in the disco.
Tires tires tires what shall i buy any reccomendation?
Had B.F.G. Allterains on my last SUV.
Does anyone no if a Ford rims will fit on the Disco ?
Cheers

Hey extra filtration sounds good. :)
Ford rims won’t work on your Disco(Ford Escape rims will fit Freelander), you are pretty much stuck with alloy or steel LR rims, there are a few other choices such as Wolf wheels, but the off-set isn’t quite right nor are they any easier to come by.
Check with some of our supporters regarding wheels, and or Discoweb.org is where I picked up my off-road alloy rims.
Tires, well if you going for 2 sets of rims defiantly get some “mud terrainâ€
