Mobile mechanic needed for my 1998 TD5

#1 Post by Crayfish » Fri Jul 02, 2021 11:21 am

My truck is stuck in my downtown Vancouver condo underground parking … no clearance for a tow truck to get her out.

The truck cranks over strongly … but does not fire up … it may be the fuel pump. Fuses and relays look fine (to me anyways) …

I need a reliable mechanic to come to my place to diagnose and repair …

Call me or text me if you can come do the work.

Regards

I was fortunate enough to have 8 buddies help me push the truck out and get it towed to MCL … UNFORTUNATELY after a week, they have told me there is no signal to the ECU and they are looking to replace it. So far this has cost me $700 … I am now going to tow the truck to ROVALUTION … Don said he will take a look at it … hopefully he can save the ECU or at the worst he can get me an ECU cheaper.

Any one out there have spare TD5 ECU … NNN500020

Thanks for reading my sad story.

I have a spare MSB ECU which should work on your truck unless it actually has a newer 15P or higher motor.
all the TD5 engines should be 10P until late 2001 then they switched to the 15P with the NNN ECU

welcome to try the ECU out to see if that is the issue
