End of Season Camp Out - Nov 2nd-3rd 2019
OK, looks likes it's a go for next weekend, Rover-Landers End of Season run, Dinner and Camp out.
This year we are staying looow in the valley due to the event being a little later than normal.
Our Chef Shawn will be once again putting on a tasty Saturday night dinner, so make sure you let us know if you will be joining us...details below;
What - End Of Season Run and Camp out - 2 days, Off-Road Adventure
Where - This year we will be exploring deep into the Elaho Valley, north of Squamish - the plan is to Camp on Sim's Island, where Sims Creek meets the mighty Elaho River
When - Sat 2nd Nov & Sun 3rd Nov - Meeting 9am Saturday at Tim Horton's (the one on Industrial Way) departing Tim's at 9.30am, returning to Squamish around 3pm (ish) on Sun 3rd.
Why - Final club camp-out for 2019, November camping separate's the Men from the Boys, the Women from the girls, the Land Rovers from the Jeeps ... (you get the idea!)
What Else - As in past years, the club will be supplying a Tasty Dinner on Saturday night to all club members and their passengers.
- Lunch stop is planned at the Peaches & Cream Waterfall which is a fantastic waterfall to get under. We will also be driving through the "Car Wash", which is a waterfall over the road.
- Wrap up warm, it could drop down to zero deg's at night. It never hurts to put in that extra sleeping bag.... and pillow... hot water bottle...
- As always, there could be some BC pin-striping on some of the over-grown sections, it shouldn't be bad, but sometimes unavoidable.
- Mostly light off-road conditions, may get a little rougher in the last few km's.
- This is BC Wilderness, bring everything you may need for two days, there are no amenities once we leave Squamish.
- Please make sure you let us know if you are coming along so our Head Chef Shawn knows how much grub to bring along!
- Drivers to be Rover-Landers Members only ( Come on, if your not a member yet its only $3.33 a month!) Thank you :)
Cheers
Andy

This looks like an opportunity to test out my new (to me) Tepui roof tent and Rhino Rack Batwing.
I will confirm later in the week, but for now, count me in...

The 101 will not be in this one as we have friends visiting and if I disappeared and the 101 was not in its spot, it would be a long winter camped out in the garage in the back of the truck! Oh well.
Shawn, I do not know how you put the dinners together in short order like that, I am witness to a miracle worker and I will miss your culinary treats!
Looking forward to the stories and pictures.
Cheers,
Neil

Hi Andy, definitely interested in tagging along. How many miles do you think we'll do in total? Trying to figure out how much gas I'll need to bring along to keep the 2.25 going if I bring it.

Hi John
Yes we are definately meeting in Squamish, at the first Tim's (at Progress & Industrial), address as above.
Looking like we have a "Dirty Dozen" of Land Rovers signed up, see you all for coffee at Timmies,

Excellent End of Season run, a dozen Land Rovers enjoyed one the best November weather weekends for a long time!
A BIG shout out to Shawn (the worlds Most Interesting Man) who put together a wonderful Mexican feast for everyone out in the wilderness.
