S1 block heater
I have just noticed that one of the series 1's I have has a block heater. Is this a common addition? I have never seen one before. The LR was supplied new in Canada in 1956.

Re: S1 block heater
Hi Tony
Yes it was if a Land rover was imported to almost anywhere in Canada except Vancouver Island it came with a block heater ( I guess they thought it was warmer out here, its a strange Canadian import law). My 1962 has one, they were a low wattage unit I think 400 watts so took a long time to heat the block, you could not just plug it in for a hour when you got up in the morning to go to work it had to stay plugged in all night.
