Paint question
Well, I am about to undergo the cosmetic restoration of my 72 Series 3. I want to put it back to its nice Bronze Green color. The paint shop asked if I wanted gloss or semi-gloss, I have no idea what to answer. What is the correct level of gloss, also understanding that the original paint type is no longer sold so it will be base coat/clear coat? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Paint question
Hi there, I don't think the finish is overly glossy but that's looking at original panels which could have faded over the years.
I think what you're looking for is a single stage paint, but I'm not sure.
If you are doing it yourself I painted mine with Endura and had a sample of the original bronze green sent away, they gave me a code so it can be remixed which is CLR 46331 Green.
Best of luck,

Re: Paint question
If you want to see that the original paint looked like pull off the wiper motor cover (lower left hand side of the dash below the steering wheel) and wipe away the dust, that paint should be an unfaded sample of the original color.
