This is what I got from John
"I have been able to confirm classroom space at E-Comm (3301 East Pender Street in Vancouver) on Feb 18, 25 and March 4, 11, and 18. I suggest we run 4 classes with the exam on March 18th in the morning. Class would start at 9am and end at 4pm with 2 refreshment breaks and lunch from 12 to 1. That would give us the equivalent of the sessions we now run with our evening course.
Minimum number of participants will be 15 with payment of $65 per student payable by December 15th.
The cost is all-inclusive with resource materials provided on the VECTOR website. Each student will be responsible for downloading the lesson material, printing it and bringing it to class. There is no requirement to purchase a separate textbook although one is available for $40 from RAC, if desired. The normal $10 exam is included in the course fees. As much as we can we will tailor the instructional material to reflect your needs as back country 4x4 enthusiasts.
We will attempt to add additional students in the event that you cannot fill the course and I will contact the other 4x4 club that was enquiring to see if they are still interested.
73,
John (VE7VPU)
President - VECTOR"
I will post tonight about the course in Chilliwack which is starting this Sunday.

The course will start this Sunday @ 9:00 till 4:00
and run for three Sunday
@ the end of the course there will be an exam which is $20
this is the location:

Hi Kris, well it sounds like we have a sixty dollar Chilliwack course, $40 bucks for the book and twenty for the test for a three day instruction course that started last Sunday. Alternatively we have four days of instruction for $65 bucks at E-Comm test included but we have to download the course material that runs through February into March.
Were there any takers for Chilliwack, if so do we have enough interest for the E-Comm course, how about a show of hands?

Mark and Bradley are both attending the Chilliwack course, I am sitting in as well, eight people and out of eight two licensed.
you don't need to buy the book, its recommended for your own good, they have books there so it's only $ 20 for the test.
the one @ e-comm. isn't just for us anymore, John wants to make sure he has enough people so it's been posted @ 4x4bc, anyone can sign up.

Looks like we're doing the same thing at the same time, except I missed the Chilliwack group's course posting.kris wrote: the one @ e-comm. isn't just for us anymore, John wants to make sure he has enough people so it's been posted @ 4x4bc, anyone can sign up.
Over the last 6-8 months, I've had a lot of interest raised about amateur licensing, and therefore ultimately found my to John for the information on the Vector course....the note I sent to John must have been within just a few days of your query. I'm not sure how many takers are actually signing up...but certainly hope there's enough to run the course, as VECTOR puts on a very good session (I took my morse test through the group). I also keep checking back with the Maple Ridge club, as of a few months ago, they were talking about holding a basic course late this year/early next year. I'll post here and on BC4x4 if I hear anything.
