Where can I find information about the upcoming Founder's Day Sunday run? Any idea yet of where and when the trip will be?
Thanks, Rob
Thanks, Rob

Did you guys not get the colour announcement in the centre spread of the newsletter?
Here is a copy of the final version of the poster.
Snow run will depart from Michael's Restaurant in Mission at 10 AM, thus will be in the upper Fraser Valley.
cheers, Dave

Hi Dave
Yes, I did get the poster (nice picture by the way). I haven't been on the Snowflake run before so I am wondering if there is any special equipment needed, will a mostly stock rover be suitable for the trip and how long do we expect to be out (have to plan for a ferry ride back to the rock). Also. is there a street address for Michaels?
Thanks, Rob

We usually have a fairly short and easy day for the Snowflake Chase so those going back to various spots can get home before it gets real late — including Pamela and I this year...
Michael's Restaurant is approximately 7 KM east of Mission on Highway 7, immediately after the highway goes over the railway tracks. It serves a decent breakfast buffet, which you should arrive around 9 AM for. The DEPARTURE TIME is 10:00 so if you intend to have breakfast get there well ahead of 10:00 so you're not holding up the group.
John Parsons has graciously volunteered to scout for the trip and lead us through the snow.

Rob,
No special equipment necessary with the exception of proper front and rear recovery points. Without these damage will likely result to one or more of the following in the event that a vehicle needs assistance to regain momentum under it's own power; your vehicle, persons in close proximity to the recovery, recovery vehicle, recovery gear.
