Redline MTL or Royal Purple Synchromax are good choices for lubes for the LT77 or R380.
Never force the synchros in these gearboxs (well any manual gearbox for the matter). Let the synchros have the time to do their job. When you force them the synchros touch and wear out.
As far as a source, you basically change to a rebuilt R380 unless you want a used and unrebuilt unit. Ashcroft in the UK is the best choice.
