New guy
Hi Guys
I just signed up and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Paul, I live in Port Coquitlam BC. I met some of you on the Snow Flake Chase in Squamish a few months ago. I was driving the Unimog.
I have had a few different 4x4 vehicles each stranger than the previous one. I started with a 1976 IH Scoutt II, then got a 1963 Unimog 404.1, then an Bombardier Iltis and now a 1997 Discovery. I find the Discovery to be the quietest, :~)
I hope you will all pardon my silly noob questions and am looking forward to learning about my new truck.

Iltis
I still have my Iltis, currently trying to sell it.
I have had it for almost two years as a daily driver. I love it. I have to sell it to buy a new Mog, ( :~) )
It is a bit loud and breezy on the hiway. It burns a bit too much gas. Sure is fun in the summer time though. If it did not have to be my daily driver and I could just keep it as a toy that would be great. For a work truck(construction) it is too small so it has to go.

I just got one from calgary and one of my buddies is looking for one so i will pass the info on.
also do you have any spare parts you want to sell separately? or trade for rover parts.
"it burns a bit too much gas"
LOL, I am sure you will revise that statement after a bit of driving around in the discovery.
cheers,
Reza

Ilits
I just put a quick add up on the forum for sale page.
I am asking 4500.00, condition is good, two rust spots but the condition is above average for an Iltis. Location is Poco.
Pics are on craigslist

I can send more pics to your email if you like

I don't have any parts to get rid of. I never actually had to buy any. Nothing broke in 2 years.

NO, NO, NO DAVE, you know those Mog drivers!!!! We certainly don't need MORE of those guys around here. I can't stand those guys...!Dave wrote:Hi Paul,
Welcome to our group. We are pretty accepting of newbies and their questions cuz most of us were new ourselves not that long ago. Hopefully you'll find your Disco to not only be quiet but to be every bit as good as your other 4x4s.

Paul, given any thought to joining the Rover-Landers? It's GREAT group of people, I feel lucky to have stumbled into the club!
