Hail to the chief
The AGM is coming up and Dave has suggested that he would like to pass on the distinguished mantle of office of president to someone in or around Vancouver. I for one would like to encourage him to carry on, I think he's done an excellent job and the fact he now lives up in Vernon is a mere inconvenience (for him). All kidding aside I do wish he could find the time to carry on. In the event that this is not possible for whatever reason I would encourage anyone interested in replacing Dave to prepare themselves to be nominated. If I could, I would step up myself but I really have too much on my plate with other evening meetings to run. I can think of at least three other suckers  oops I mean dedicated club members that would do a great job :!: Please keep your suggestions to yourself and quietly work the backrooms of the halls of power in an effort to coerce some unwitting friend to volunteer at the AGM

I will let my name stand provided there is no one else interested, however I do think someone in the lower mainland would do a better job of attending all the meetings and events than I can from Armstrong.
That being said, I still want to maintain involvement and will angle for another executive position if I'm no longer president. I've greatly enjoyed the time I've had as president, meeting many new folks and making numerous long lasting friendships.
Thanks all for making this a great group to be associated with.
