Rear axle brake line shields - why do you need them?
Question. I am rebuilding a SWB 67 s2a. I'm converting from single brake lines to dual, servo brakes, not that it matters I guess for this question, but how important are the rear axle brake line axle shield brackets? From what I have read there are mixed opinions. Would like to go without them. Thoughts?

If you are keen on keeping originality....then yes, if not, no.
For line protection if contemplating extreme off roading there are some top notch "coiled" sleeves that fit over brake lines in critical areas.
