Let my website expire?
www.vanislelandrovernetwork.com
This has been around for about 24 years and used to be hosted by an internet service provider for an annual cost of $0.00.
The domain name was about five bucks a year and photo posting was free. All that has changed now so it is now about $200.00 a year to keep the site running. All this is expiring in the next few days.
Do I just keep paying? Or should I let it disappear forever?
All editorial content is my own writing and there is no commercial advertising to support it.
Let it go? Or keep bleeding? Does anyone look at websites anymore? I see the forum here is pretty inactive.

Inactive forum....let it go.
Seems too be more interest in using Rover-Landers of BC on FB Groups.

$200 per year is ridiculous. We (the club) are paying less than that for our site and forum.
If you want to keep it, I suggest you look at a new provider to host it. Most will give you preferential pricing to move to their platforms.

Howdy Greg
It was a great site way back when for us Island rover owners, thanks for doing it all these years. It will be a shame to lose all the old photos.
But Id let it go, these days there are just too many options of ways to communicate on the same subject which unfortunately dilutes the content on all of them, you cant join them all. Take this forum for example, it is very very slow on here maybe everybody's on facetime. I rarely check it anymore.

It is a little slow, but it’s the best forum for all local information concerning LR’s. I still check it very regularly.

I don't do facebook so I also check this forum quite often. I agree not a lot of action here lately but that could all change when someone finds a wonderful old series in a field somewhere

Sucks, but I agree best to let it go. Hope all is well Greg.
