Hi,
Once upon a time someone sold me a 10,500lb Mile Marker Hydraulic winch with the story that I can power it with my power steering pump on my 110.
The power steering pump can make it move but it is very slow and not as powerful as it should be. If you have a system with an actual hydraulic pump this might work great for you.
$100 and it is yours.
Ryan

FYI - Although they may say it can run off a power steering pump, my experience is that all hyd winches require a dedicated hydraulic pump to work well. They need both a specific hydraulic pressure and significant fluid volume to work properly. And lots of spare (reserve) fluid or they overheat. You usually control the pump’s speed by the engine’s rpm, which controls the winch speed.
I hate to say it, but my of experience of adding a hyd winch to a LR series was fun, but long and expensive. That being said, my old 80”, with a Koenig winch converted to hydraulic, the first time I used it pulled out a Unimog buried over its axles in mud, easily. Mind you, I was tied off to a big tree behind me. 🤫

I had a milemarker on my 4Runner. A good pump and Reservoir is out of a Astro/Safari van. High Flow and High pressure. Even at Idle you can pull yourself out of any stuck.....and very quiet!!
