If you are interested have a look in the photo archives and find "Baja 1000 2007". There you will see one of the trucks pictured above. Chad Ulansky bought the Edge truck and brought it back here. He and brother Ryan raced it in the Baja 1000. As far as I know Chad still has it up in the Kelowna area. Mom and Dad were their pit crew dropping fuel across the Baja Peninsula. Great guys and great story!

That is interesting. Saluki Motorsports raced Land Rover Defenders for several years and the garage is one of the better places to get Land Rover work done in Dubai. The Mountain Dew Land Rover in the picture before the Edge Land Rover is actually the same truck but different years.

The last time I saw the Saluki Defender was doing course clearing duties prior to the Dubai International Rally at the end of November 2006.


The following year, the regular drivers, Mark Powell and Tim Ansell had defected to a buggy.

From the pictures of the Baja 1000, it looks like the Defender took quite a beating down in Mexico a year later.
