SOLD 1986 LAND ROVER 110 3 DOOR 300TDI/Roamerdrive (Ex-MOD / British Army Training Unit Suffield)
Purchased in 2016 and further restored and modified for moderate annual expedition travel, including permanent replacement of the hoops and tilt soft top with an custom aluminium hardtop and safari rear door. The result was a reliable and capable truck at home on the highway and in the back country, regardless of the weather.
In the seven years we have operated this truck the following services and modifications have been carried out:
• Replaced 2.5 NA Diesel engine with rebuilt 300Tdi Diesel engine during which the clutch, clutch mechanism and slave cylinder were replaced.
• Garrett turbo core replaced with upgraded version.
• Radiator, inter-cooler, cooling fan and controls replaced.
• New Bosch glow plugs.
• Injectors serviced.
• Heater rebuilt including new core.
• Fuel tank and sensor replaced.
• Roamerdrive installed (28% gear reduction overdrive – quieter and more fuel efficient highway driving)
• Transfer box seals replaced.
• Brake master cylinder replaced and lines flushed.
• Custom roof and safari door installed to replace the hoops and tilt. Roof is an aluminium shell crafted crafted by aircraft skin technician. Included is a sturdy Mantac spare tire carrier.

• 2 bonnets.
