'52 80" For Sale - SOLD

There comes a time when it is time to pass on what you have to another.......

For Sale - One, 1952 Land Rover 80" which I've owned since 1996. This is a BC vehicle, originally sold by Pimley Brothers and spent most of the 1st 1/2 of her life in in orchards in the Okanagan. She is a workhorse, not a trailer queen, show piece. My philosophy when I rebuild her was, "she earned the dents, she can keep them", it gives her character. Regardless, she is the winner of many awards over the years. She is located at my home in Surrey BC, currently.

The not so good:

• She could use a fresh respray

• The gas tank should be re-sealed

• There is a definite worn rocker tapping noise from the motor

• She needs inlet valve seals (blows blue smoke at idle when hot

• Could use a fresh set of 7:50/16 tires

The above two mechanical issues are both relatively easy to fix.

The good:
She comes with:

• Full length hard top

• Full length canvas soft top

• Bikini length canvas soft top

• Parabolic front springs

• Heavy duty standard rear springs

• 12v Alternator (-ve ground)

• Custom, Koenig winch with galvanized bumper, with hydraulic motor conversion and in-cab controls

• Screw-on external oil filter conversion

• Free wheeling front hubs

• 2 folding side rear seats

• Turn Signals wired into running/brake lights (no one knows hand signals these days...)

• Manuals and owner guides

• Several boxes of spare parts (brake cylinders, brake shoes & drums, pistons, rings, carb parts, etc.

• Brakes were redone this summer, but she still takes her time stopping. Driving in heavy traffic can be ... challenging :shock:

• Steering box was redone this summer, but there still is some play in the steering wheel. This is normal for all 80's I've seen.

• My support and assistance if desired

So, she is not completely original, but instead has a number of easily reversed modifications, should the buyer wish to go the original route.
I'd like to see her stay in BC, so am currently posting her here only and will give BC residents 1st right of refusal.

I will consider offers over C$30k.
