WTB Head for a 2.25 petrol motor
By pure chance today, I stumbled upon a (supposedly) working 2.25 Land Rover engine pulled from a S2A for $100. I couldn't resist. Everything moves freely and it seems in pretty decent shape. Only thing is... its missing the head. So now I'm on a search for a head. Anyone have a decent one laying around they could ship to West Kelowna?

I’m assuming he’s looking for a complete, ready to drop on head. That one is far from it, and looks like it could be in fairly rough shape. The seller doesn’t seem to know much about Land Rovers so am fairly certain they won’t be able to tell much more. Unless he already has all the missing valvetrain parts and valve cover, buying a more complete head would be much easier and likely cheaper as well.

The apparently complete motor, with head and all would likely be a better place to start.

Actually, that's where I got the engine, but it's 'headless'. For $100 I was willing to grab it and sew if I could find a head. It does appear to otherwise be in ok shape. Everything turns freely, though I'll be pulling it apart and cleaning/checking everything.TimberPig wrote: Thu Jul 21, 2022 10:19 am https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 084551447/

So did the head get pulled off before you were there or was there another engine? The picture shows an engine with a head on it?Canadman wrote: Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:11 amActually, that's where I got the engine, but it's 'headless'. Either way, I would look for a complete head rather than one missing most of the valvetrain and cover.

The head was already off. I think the engine in the pic was the diesel she had. It's complete but I didn't want a diesel.

Hi, are you still looking for a head? if you are, you can message me. I have an engine I'm stripping.
