ISO rear differential/Axle

#1 Post by Turton » Sat Feb 19, 2022 5:58 pm

Hello, does anyone have a rear axle or differential in good working order for an 88" for sale? ours in our 1969 has far too much play for my liking.
can these be rebuilt locally (Kelowna)?
any help would be appreciated
thanks
Geoff

Pull the halfshafts and see how much wear is in the splines. That could be a lot of the play you are seeing.

The diff is pretty easy to work on. Any mechanic could set one up.

As red90 mentioned, check the splines on your drive flanges, and half shafts. I have drive flanges, half shafts, and differentials if you need any. Located in Nelson, but I plan on driving through Kelowna in the spring.

Just wanted everyone to know, new axles and flanges solved my issue. I didn’t think that small amount of play would turn into so much slop in the diff.
Thanks for all you help.
