So you even if it is already registered it can never pass another safety inspection?

Does this apply to trailers to?

I think you’ll be fine...it’s more directed it seems on vehicles that have not yet been inspected or registered in BC

When I got my Wolf inspected, I checked with ICBC about some light issues and the woman told me that a Humvee can't be registered in BC but the Land Rover Wolf was OK. So it is registered and happily stranded just off of what used to be highway 8 after the demise of the Nicola River.

im reading it that they are specifically targeting the hmmv, and not a land rover product, which with the exceptions of a few pieces modified for DND use, are basically the same conforming vehicle that land rover was producing at the time, if its a 1994-1996 it will not have a conforming sticker, but those defender NAS products should have the stickers affixed to them. that being said an HMMV curb weight is very close to under that 3500kg curb weight they are asking for. "• under Part 4 if (a) the vehicle is registered, titled or licensed, or was previously registered, titled
or licensed, at a place outside British Columbia, (b) is presented to ICBC for registration, and
(c) has a net vehicle weight of not more than 3 500 kg
"

it seems that it means anywhere, so take your HMMWV and send it to alberta for an inspection, get it registered there and then transfer to bc. seems like they want the buck passed to something else. the defender is curb weight of 1746kg,1913kg, or 1980kg (90/11/130) so it really falls under that, but we would only need to deal with that during wolf importations from cold lake, which could cause those prices to fall off and make them more appealing to people like me for spare parts.

Interesting. I just came across this. Glad I imported my Wolf when I did. Don't know if I'd take a chance now.
