BC Forest Service Rovers
Saw some pics of Prov Govt Rovers elsewhere on the forum. I was mentioning my Rover project to a workmate of mine who also works in the Prov Govt and he said he remembers driving Govt Land Rovers when he was just staring out with the Ministry of Forests back in the day. Sent me a couple of pics of his 88" station wagon. I really like those BC Forest Service plates and the Prov Govt decals on the doors.
Cheers

Cool! I’ve got an ex BC lands and mines truck with the shadowy remains of the door logo (known as the “golden football”)

The trucks done for the most part, just a few small things to finish up. I’ll take some new photos and post it up soon.

Thanks for the logo Matt, I'm pretty sure mine had that on the side. It's still partially visible. Have you had any reproduced? I may have a few made up to put back on. I also like the other logo that's on the back with the outline of BC with the tree... any idea where that's from? Ryan

My creamy white 88 was ex-BC Hydro, still on the road in 2011
This one was in Squamish, can't recall who used to own it, was about 20 years ago

Re: BC Forest Service Rovers
Hi
I volunteer at the BC Forest museum in Duncan, over the years there were actually a number of different sticky labels for the sides of the Forestry service trucks.
Also a small longer narrow additional metal license plate to be added under the normal plate.
The curator has a cardboard box full of the different stickers and plates, if I remember correctly he tried to figure out the dates for when certain stickers were applied.
I can likely find out some more info, we did this for Stuart Longair 5 years ago when he was restoring his forest service series 1.
Sign shops can make you an original looking sticky decal that will look authentic if they have something to copy, I had some Dormobile stickers made and they are perfect and were not expensive.
Give me some time I am not going in next week.
Victor
