Series 2 109" Regular Chassis

#1 Post by oldgravy » Thu Sep 16, 2021 10:09 am

Free to a bad home.

You can read a full breakdown in my build or teardown threads, but it will need:

2x smaller frame patches, maybe three.
Front x-member work (steering relay housing still in place)
Rear x-member

... and *probably* (possibly?) a redo of the rear shock mount uppers as they're worn.

I'd prefer someone keep it, and repair it, as it is in really great shape otherwise. Located in Cloverdale.

Couple of nibbles so far, but please PM me if interested!

This one deserves to be saved.

I’m interested in taking it to restore. I’m in WA state. Any way you could get it to Ferndale or just across the border? Not able to travel to BC due to vaccine status.

In addition, I can have a trailer ready to transfer it to once across the border.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Bruce, I'd love to go for Mexican food in Ferndale but unfortunately your border is closed to Canadians traveling by land regardless of vaccination status. I could fly to Bellingham no problem -- and I guess put the chassis in my carry-on -- but there's no way to get there over land at the moment.

I wonder if there’s a commercial carrier that could bring it over the border. I will check with AAA. You are near Surrey correct? Please call me tomorrow so we can chat.
I will figure it out.

FYI - If you (Americans) are vaccinated, you can drive across the border and get it yourself.

Thank you for your enthusiasm, but I am afraid it's not reasonable to have me bring it to you at the moment.

Any other takers?
