Rescuing two Rovers from the wreckers

#1 Post by webmaster » Fri Oct 23, 2020 6:25 pm

A perfect Wet Coast day to rescue two Rovers from the wreckers. An intrepid band of Rover-Landers dared the elements to save them. The club is happy to report that both are now at new homes and will be (eventually) rebuilt to better than new.
Rescuers- Martin R, Jake G, Michael S, Don M., Michael F.

Phase 2 - getting the wagon into the trailer.....

Hmmm. Seem to be missing some “interesting” shots. Might be able to add them later.

Another job well done be the Rover-Lander Rescuers. Our motto, “No Land Rover is too far gone to leave behind”

Yes, nice work guys, it looks like it was a tough wet day!
But always a good result when they don't go to the scrap yard :occasion5:

Hopefully we will see a couple of "Project / Rebuild" Threads starting soon so we can enjoy the full cycle of them coming back to life!

Like so many of you I’ve been driving by these for years hoping that someday someone would rescue this pair. Happy to hear they are finally in good hands.
