1997 Land Rover Wolf 110s on GCSurplus

#1 Post by bsa_m21 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 8:23 am

Well there are still a few Land Rover Wolfs at Suffield that they are auctioning off. Two 110 Ambulances and a 110 soft top. All with 300 TDI's (I think).

Too bad the bidding is going to ridiculous heights - all by the same bidder. :(

Go to: https://www.gcsurplus.ca/mn-eng.cfm and search on "Land Rover"

Will be interesting to see how high the bidding goes before the auction ends. :)

Same bidder wants all three trucks. Must have deep pockets. :(

It looks like GCSurplus doesn’t show the final price but it was $18k when I looked last night

Well the 3rd 1997 Wolf, a soft top with 10k kms on it, went for $37,000!!!! All three went to the same buyer. Someone with money to burn I'd say. :rolly:

I bet someone is going to do a little work to these three trucks and try and flip them for 80k each

For that kind of money, these will be $150k 5-door blingers in no time!

Martin, why do you think they went to the same buyer, all three are showing different successful bidders.

Whatever the mileage we should not that they were used on a tank range, and not to go to the shopping mall. Even 10,000 km's on a tank range is more abuse that they would see in a lifetime anywhere else.

Hmmmm.... I wonder what I can get for mine? It's new 300TDi arrives from the UK tomorrow....

Oops. I was looking at the closing bids and not the final buyer. The MA....... bidder was VERY keen on all three and I thought he got them. I see now that he/she was outbid in the last few minutes/seconds on two of them. Still, people with money to burn I guess.

Hey Stuart - Your 110 looks sweet. I'd give you C$10K for it - If you throw in the new TDI engine as well.

Let see, another $20k to do a complete rebuild and paint, and they are at $57k invested. Means they would need to sell it for high $60s to make any money. I think too many people are going stir crazy with Covid fever. That, or more money than brains.

M. :(
