1967 SIIA 109 NADA Six
Well, it's been 25 years since my last Land Rover restoration so I guess it's time to start another. Just picked up this 67 109 Station Wagon, originally a six cylinder and converted to a Chev 250 six many years ago. I think it's a local Victoria 109. From what I can tell, it was last on the road around 2013. It needs some chassis repairs, but is amazingly complete and original inside. It even has all the original door card trim (interesting brown colour).
Any previous owners on here?

A buddy up in Duncan had it. He got it in a trade from someone here in Saanich. He is a bit of a wheeler dealer and didn't know much about Rovers. My luck. :-)

Nice Paul!
Man that moved around fast! It’s a local, well travelled truck. The Chevy was swapped in in the 70’s. The original owner travelled a fair amount in it with the family. It was just sold to the fellow who owns some antique shop down town in Victoria like last week?!
EDIT: Well looking at the pictures again, I don’t think this is the truck I was talking about. Weird 2, same colour 109 5 doors with chevy conversations sell at the same time!

Hi Matt, interesting that a couple of 109 six's have sold recently. I know I've seen the truck I bought around over the years but can't remember where. There used to be one parked at U-Vic on a regular basis. I'm really looking forward to starting work on this one!

Happy to report that even after sitting fir almost a decade, she fired right up this afternoon. Even took it for a short drive. Only problem is a pinhole lead in a brake line. Any good sources locally for brake lines?

Is it in the metal line or flex line? I can make up a replacement metal line for you.

Re: 1967 SIIA 109 NADA Six
it's the long metal line. That would be awesome! I don't have the right flaring tools.
Pretty sure it's a dual cct setup. The car is still up in Cowichan so I can't run out and check. lol

Hi Paul
I am also restoring a Nada #800 out of 811, if you have any questions ask away I have learned a lot about theses rare North American Doller Area rovers.
( Mostly that some of the unique Nada parts are expensive and hard to find.)
Victor
1962 Dormobile in hibernation and 1969 NADA Dormobile in many pieces.

Hi Victor,
I might have to pop by and check your # 800 out. Cool. Mine is # 106.
It doesn't quite match up with the description on
https://www.lrfaq.org/Series/FAQ.S.chas ... g.343.html
It is listed as a Limestone car originally sold in NY. Mine is definitely light green and it seems to be the original colour.

Re: 1967 SIIA 109 NADA Six
Hi Paul
You are welcome to come look anytime I am usually around during the week . Send me a private message and I will give you a number and address. I am in Duncan as I think you know.
Right now my rover is in many pieces so its not much to look at but I can maybe help you out on some Nada questions.
Looking at your photos a lot has been changed on your new project but hopefully it comes with all the original parts. I think I would leave the Chevy six in place rebuilding a original Weslake head equipped Nada is expensive beyond belief and frustrating to no end trying to find parts that were exclusive to the 811 Nadas (and a few Rover P4 or P5? cars).
Nadas were kind of a special run at the factory and a lot of stuff does not quit match up with other rovers of the same age, for example mine is registered as a 1969 but was built in Sept of 68 and still has the head lights in the rad grill and not on the wings like most 1969 models.
I have not seen that build list for Nadas before but have seen the one on the Rovers North forum, mine has the same info on both sites it is one of 3 out of 5 Nada Dormobiles remaining, mine went to Dormobile then I believe Vancouver to be sold. I am the 3rd owner of this Dormobile.
Nadas had all black upholstery except the Dormobiles which had Elephant hide seats since I am guessing Dormobile still had rolls of Elephant hide upholstery to use up for the special seats.
I am not sure where the brown upholstery came from in yours maybe the PO liked brown and dyed it? Or just got a good deal on a roll of Brown vinyl?
Hope to talk with you in person later.
Victor

Re: 1967 SIIA 109 NADA Six
I had the 292 conversion, to much power for the gearbox, I always thought the 250 was the perfect engine for the 109, they should have bought those engines and done a proper installation.
