Defender wheel bearings
Anyone have a preference for wheel bearings on the defender. And are the bearing (kits) identical front and back? I’ve got an 87 exmod

Re: Defender wheel bearings
I try to stick with a name brand like Timkin. I think I went with a Bearmach kit and the bearings were Timken.
If memory serves me, the early defenders have a different part number front and rear kits. Pretty sure the bearing are all the same, maybe seals are different? I think the later defenders are the same front and rear but someone with a newer defender can chime in on that.
It's easy but messy. Get good quality grease. And get the hub nut socket and a few new hub nuts. If it was MOD someone will definitely have wailed the nuts on with a chisel.
