Waxoyl Source

#1 Post by cbalme » Wed Jan 16, 2019 9:46 am

If anyone is looking for a good place to buy Hammerite Waxoyl I found some at Matsqui Ag Repair near Abbotsford. They stock it because the English JCB telehandlers use it on the extendable part of the arm as grease.

They sell it in a huge tin or little spray cans, but they don't sell the applicator.

Hey guys. Sorry to rake this thread up..
I use Waxoyl here in UK, and it's pretty easy to source, but wondered if anyone had a home-brew blend of white spirit and wax? I've wanted to try to make something that's effective.
We pay about $40 Canadian for 5litre cans of Waxoyl btw.
Have used it on various cars over the years incl. MGB,Morris, LR 90, Disco 1 300Tdi, Disco II TD5, and now on a Disco4 SDV6 HSE. All with good results.
