S3-88 in N.Van on Craigslist

I came across this '72 S3-88 in N.Van on Craigslist. Should be a reasonable buy for someone to get into a Series truck.

This is the same truck as posted a few ads down the page as Shabby Chic Series III 88.

Knowing nothing about LR's, but wanting to get a project to clean up for my wife to drive does this look ok? Obviously understand there are no guaranties with anything, but looks genuine and might be fun to restore. Thoughts?

Gary, I love the old series LR's, I've had my Series 2A for almost 25 years, but unless your wife is really keen on driving this very utilitarian vehicle, she will probably hate it. Sorry to put a damper on buying such a classic. (It would be fun to restore though).

Yep the lady’s aren’t big on series trucks. They love range rovers tho! :lol:

Go look at it and drive it and decide for yourself. Not everyone's wife is the same.... Looks like a nice truck. It is best to either take along a knowledgable person or plan to have it inspected at a Rover shop.

I just realized that it is at Ray Wood's shop (Roamerdrive HQ). That should be a good sign.

Love to attend, the landy is undergoing a bit of major update, with a new bulkhead, paint, doors, tires etc. But let's hope its ready for April.
