02D2 Overlander

#1 Post by Ryukyurvr » Fri Jan 11, 2019 4:37 pm

So, this started as a replacement for my Range Rover classic that rolled off a mountain cliff with me and my son in it! Was just supposed to be a truck to get around on, then I bought another D1 to replace my tired old trail truck and decided to keep it as more of a daily driver (with mild mods) and am going full on D2 UTE for overlanding/firefighting! So, first things first, removed oversized tires and put on a more sensible all-terrain. Removed useless bumpers front and back and went with steel and a winch. Now we’re doing some maintenance and will work on getting the HAM and CB wired in as well as finalizing the Gaia mount and then take her out in the spring snow and see how she handles before we get our kit from England to make it a truck cab and cut her in half!
